Moonshine Margarita Recipe

Moonshine Margarita Recipe

Move over, tequila. We’re mixing margaritas with moonshine, and not just any moonshine. We’re using our Mountain View Vineyard Original Shine for this recipe. That’s 100-proof straight corn whisky made of local, Pennsylvania corn. Olé!

We like to serve them in our seriously fun mini mason jars. They hold four ounces, the perfect size for this cocktail with a kick. You can use whatever type of glass you like. A salted rim is optional.

Make Your Own Moonshine Margarita

1 ounce Mountain View Vineyard Original Shine
1 ounce Triple Sec
1 ounce lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup

Combine all ingredients over ice and shake. Serve immediately.

How to Make Simple Syrup

You don’t need to make a special trip for simple syrup. Just combine one cup of water and one cup of sugar in a saucepan, then boil until the sugar is dissolved. Cool it completely before you use it.

You’ll have some simple syrup leftover. You can use it in all sorts of things from cocktails to coffee.

Share Your Creation

Now that you’ve made the best margarita ever, it’s time to share. We’d love to see a photo of your Moonshine Margarita! Tag us or mention #SeriouslyFun on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Cheers!
