How to Make a Moscow Mule

Sit back and relax, we’re mixing up a twist on the classic Moscow Mule just for you. This is one of the most popular drinks in our specialty rotation. It could have something to do with the fact that our apple pie moonshine is our most popular distilled spirit. You folks sure love your shine!

Today, Linda and Sarah are showing us how to make a Mountain View Vineyard Moscow Mule. The bubbles in the ginger ale enhance the pie spices in the shine and make for a seriously fun beverage experience.

Moscow Mule Recipe

Ingredients:
2.5 ounces 80 proof apple pie moonshine
2.5 ounces ginger ale
splash of lime juice

Instructions:
Pour all ingredients over a large copper cup of ice and mix well.

Why are Moscow Mules Served in Copper Cups?

We love, love, love the shiny copper Moscow Mule mugs. The copper insulates the cold so well that your ice stays frozen for hours.

The copper cup tradition dates back to the 1940s when the drink inventors marketed it. One of them traveled around the country taking Polaroid photos of bartenders serving Moscow Mules in copper cups.
