Red Wine Chocolate Syrup Recipe
Before we show you how to make red wine chocolate syrup, we must warn you…you will be tempted to guzzle this straight from the bottle. You might start pouring it in your morning coffee and on top of your pancakes, or maybe mixed with some yogurt at lunch. Of course, you’ll have to add a generous drizzle to a nice scoop of ice cream after dinner.
We cannot be held responsible if you gain a pant size within days of making this magical chocolate wine elixir.
It’s surprisingly simple to make your own homemade chocolate syrup infused with red wine.
For this recipe, we use our most popular wine, Split Rail Red. It’s a semi-sweet red blend made with Frontenac, Foch, Cynthiana, and Chambourcin grapes.
The chocolate and wine flavor combination will take your sundaes to a new level. It pairs best with a quality vanilla bean ice cream.
Serve this dessert with a glass of red wine for the ultimate after dinner experience.
Drizzle your red wine chocolate syrup on fresh berries for a romantic date snack. You could also serve it as a fondue for dipping berries.
Stir your homemade syrup into a nice cold glass of milk for a grown-up chocolate milk treat. It’s just as good in milkshakes too!
The possibilities are endless! We’d love to hear what you make with your chocolate wine syrup. Let us know in the comment section!
